If by chance you have not heard of Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011, you might simply read the name and immediately presume it's a hunting simulation of some kind. Everyone might have seen the variety of hunting game before, the type where you identify your weapon, select some camouflage, and waste a lot of time attempting to tell the distinction among animal crap and a clod of earth. Yet somewhere among killing a cougar in dramatic slow motion and scaring away vicious wolf packs who have evil red demon eyes, you'll comprehend that assumption doesn't truly apply to this particular game.
This particular game is better thought of as a survival game first and a hunting game in the second place. The story line has the player in the role of a hunting man named Cole whose search sends him through a variety of hunting areas across the United States and the continent of Africa to shoot animals who have been possessed by demonic forces. In one level you are shown Cole emerging from an avalanche in the dead of night, moving through the dark forest and fighting off dangerous animals trying to hunt him while dealing with natural dangers, like unseen animal traps and dangerously thin ice.
Similar to prior versions of Dangerous Hunts, you will play Dangerous Hunts 2011 by using a special gun peripheral equipped with a telescopic telescopic sight and adjustable stock, in addition to analog sticks in order to control the players range of motion so that the player don't have to play the game on rails. The red scope is nice, and entertaining to operate. It is in fact kind of demanding to see through the thing. In order to use it, just hit the button labled A which makes the screen only viewable through the lens. Keep in mind, it is very hard to see what you are shooting at, making for a frustrating game.
Aside from allowing a little more control over how the gun is shot, the gun controller comes equipped with a cool feature aptly called Hunter Vision. This feature will show hidden objects by temporarily making the game screen a fairly garbled assortment of red tinted colors that can be decoded by looking through the scope of the gun like a night vision scope. For those of you who had the old gun where the trigger assembly was located in the front, this gun is 100% better. The trigger assembly is now in the back, and the front has a pump reload. Additionally, all of the controls are fullycustomizable (not like last time). The gun is adjustable so even heavy people are able to keep the stock of the rifle in their shoulder while aiming through the scope, allowing for a exceptionally real feeling to the game.
Aside from the previously stated story mode, Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 will have with a variety of other modes, along with multiplayer options, like as the Shooting Gallery similiar to other
hunting games. Additionally, the game in general is really demanding to play. I really enjoyed playing the game and i also like to play hunting games online.
